2002 Lincoln LS A/C Switch Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the A/C Switch Control Assembly on 2002 Lincoln LS?
A: Service and repair operations for the control assembly require battery disconnection as their first step. The service process begins by removing the ashtray finish panel followed by disconnection of the connector. Pull the instrument panel center register using a mini-pick along with removing its connector if present. Start by disconnecting the Dual Automatic Temperature Control (DATC) and radio assembly from the instrument panel and removing all screws from it. Finally, detach both assembly connectors. The installation and extraction of the dual automatic temperature control assembly requires removing two screws from each side while watching the three pins at the bezel assembly base which enter the radio bezel. Starting from the opposite end install this component while following the removal procedures unless you are adding a new dual automatic temperature control module which needs proper setup.
