How to service the blend door actuator on 2004 Ford Excursion?

Service of the blend door actuator begins with releasing the stops then lowering the glove compartment door. Unplug the connector then disassemble the electronic blend door actuator together with its bracket assembly through two screw removal. Slowly rotate both the blend door actuator along with its bracket until they detach completely. Before electrical power is applied to the actuator it is essential to manually align the temperature blend door with proper positioning to the actuator and the door.
