The installer should start with A-pillar trim removal across both sides along with the removal of the cowl panel grille. Packaged inside the instrument panel center brace are four bolts and four nuts but builders should tighten these pieces to 9 Nm (80 lb-in) when reinstalling them. Proceed with your removal of the instrument panel center braces while taking care to protect the sunload sensor electrical connector through partial defroster grille removal. The outside of the vehicle requires removal of the instrument panel cowl bolt which needs tightening to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) when reinstalling the bolt. First disconnect the instrument panel upper bolt then apply a torque of 9 Nm (80 lb-in) for reinstallation and progress to disconnect the instrument panel bolt that requires 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) torque during installation.
