In order to service the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system module, unplug the electrical and vacuum connectors. Take out the bolts on the intake manifold shield, and the EGR system module. Eliminate the old gasket and do not make use of an abrasive tool to clean. Install a new gasket with the raised side to the manifold using a plastic scraper.
