- Q: How to Service and Repair the A/C Hose in the Compressor Manifold and Tube Assembly on 2006 Ford E-250?A: The service process for compressor manifold and tube assembly requires refrigerant recovery as the first step. Place the vehicle at neutral gear position on a hoist system. The compressor manifold and tube assembly bolt should be accessed from the right-hand front fender well between the frame and body so workers can detach the assembly from the A/C compressor by loosening the bolt while discarding the used O-ring seals. The installation process requires tightening this bolt to 21 Nm but the torque is equivalent to 15 lb-ft. Start by taking away the air cleaner assembly and cutting off the electrical connection of the high-pressure cutoff switch. Use a wrench to disconnect the suction fitting of the compressor manifold and tube assembly at both its sides then toss the O-ring seal and finish the reinstallation by tightening the fitting to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).
