Coming to a stop using neutral transmission, position the vehicle on a hoist. The operations start with 6 pin-type retainer removal from both sides then continue with 4 fender splash shield bolt extraction before tightening all bolts to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) during reinstallation. After the bumper requires 4 air deflector bolts removal follow the same torque sequence of 8 Nm (71 lb-in) when installing these bolts. After removing the 2 central pin-type retainers from the front center bumper cover you should remove the 2 exterior pin-like retainers which are positioned one each on the sides. The electrical connectors need removal when fog lamps are present in your vehicle. Tighten the 2 bolts on the front bumper cover to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) before reinstalling. To finish the installation retrace the removal method while placing the front bumper cover into its proper position and pushing the sides near the headlamp bottom corners to make the bumper cover attach to the bumper slides.
