How to service and repair the oil pan on 2006 Ford Freestar?

In order to fix the oil pan, make sure the area is clean, and then take out the starter and Y-pipe. Drain oil, remove oil pan and clean surfaces. Unless fitted within four minutes, reapply sealant. Install the new rear seal, tighten bolts and reassemble parts, and finally install the oil drain plug and engine oil refill.
