  • Q: How to service the auxiliary heater core on 2006 Ford Freestyle?
A: Start the auxiliary heater core service by taking out the LH quarter trim panel. Start by removing the 9 screws that fasten the auxiliary heater core cover. Place the heater core tubes over a suitable drain pan before draining the engine coolant to prevent coolant spillage in the vehicle. First disconnect the inlet hose from the auxiliary heater core by releasing the clamp then do the same for the outlet hose.
