Detach the wiring harness and retainer from the RH valve cover stud of the right-hand (RH) sensor and remove the associated nut followed by the radio frequency interference capacitor before setting them aside. During reinstallation put the nut on before tightening it to 6 Nm (53 lb-in). First disconnect the CMP electrical connector then remove the bolt securing the CMP sensor while torquing the bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Clean engine oil as lubricant should be applied to the CMP O-ring seal before proceeding with installation by performing the removal steps in reverse order.
