How to service the knock sensor (KS) on 2006 Lincoln Zephyr?

In order to service the knock sensor, raise the vehicle in neutral, and disconnect the battery ground cable. You may need to loosen the underbody cover screws, at this point disconnect the electrical connector and bolt of the knock sensor. Fit the new sensor, screw it on to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft) and revert all the steps used to remove it.
