How to service and repair the A/C Switch in the climate control assembly on 2006 Mercury Mountaineer?

Starting the climate control assembly repair process requires the removal of first the center instrument panel finish panel and then proceeding with screw removal of the assembly. As a first step you need to remove four screws from the climate control assembly before taking out the assembly itself. Vehicles with manual climate control necessitate removal of the three climate control knobs before sliding the blower motor switch and function selector switch out through the tabs. The reverse process of removal procedures should be followed to finish the installation.
