A punch tool should be used to push the lock cylinder release tab after inserting the ignition key into the switch position and turning to RUN to extract the ignition key cylinder from through its release tab. It is necessary to take out both the tilt release lever and handle when they exist. Secure first the steering column shrouds using three screws and then remove the two screws from the multi-function switch followed by installing it correctly while tightening the new switch to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).
