The right-hand side coil-on-plug service requires the upper intake manifold removal for proper access. You need to disjoin the six electrical connectors from all ignition coil-on-plugs. A gentle twisting motion should be applied when removing ignition coil-on-plugs to free the seals and help their removal. First use a slight twisting motion on the six electrical connectors to detach them from the ignition coil-on-plugs. Then remove the six bolts and six ignition coil-on-plugs. Install the bolts to 7 Nm (62 lb-in) torque while coating each ignition coil-on-plug boot interior with dielectric grease before placing it onto the spark plugs. This procedure is the opposite of the reversal steps for removal.
