The hoisting operation must begin with neutral gear selection and position of the vehicle. Two wire form bolts require removal before the installation begins while tightening these bolts to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.) also needs to be completed. The procedure begins by disconnecting the intermediate cable from the left rear cable at the cable equalizer before removing the first part of the left rear cable conduit at its frame bracket. After disconnecting the left parking brake cable from the parking brake lever the cable needs to be removed. Perform the installation by repeating the removal steps from the opposite direction and check if the parking brake system functions correctly.
