How to service the auxiliary heater core on 2008 Ford E-150?

Service of the auxiliary heater core begins with draining the engine cooling system. Remove the LH quarter trim panel if needed before unmounting six screws which open up the heater core cover. The service of the heater core begins with heater hose detachment followed by removal of the heater core that requires heater core case seal detachment first. Cleaning the coolant hoses with plain water during heater core installation becomes necessary before assembling the components in their reverse order. The completion of engine cooling system maintenance requires filling the system. Acceptance as a heater core leak can only proceed after leak testing.
