2008 Lincoln Mark LT A/C Condenser Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service the A/C Condenser Core on 2008 Lincoln Mark LT?
A: The first step for servicing the condenser core involves refrigerant recovery. Begin the condenser core service by taking away the upper radiator sight shield then separating the condenser fittings and discarding the O-ring seals. Use 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) as the tightening torque during the condenser fitting reinstall. Tighten the 2 bolts of the transmission oil cooler to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft) torques before and after the installation step. Divert the hood latch bracket to the side by taking out its 3 bolts and apply 12 Nm (9 lb-ft) torque when reinstalling. The 2 condenser bracket bolts require removal. Install them with a torque of 18 Nm (13 lb-ft) during reinstallation. The composite condenser core must be replaced with fresh O-ring components before reinstalling with a correct amount of clean PAG oil to lubricate the refrigerant system. The refrigerant system requires evacuation then leak testing before charging completes the procedure.
