2008 Lincoln Navigator Dipstick Tube Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the Engine Oil Dipstick Tube on 2008 Lincoln Navigator?
A: Service or repair operations for engine oil dip stick and dip stick tube must begin by taking off the LH exhaust manifold. After removing the oil level indicator with its tube bolt you should tighten it to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) when installing it back. The oil level indicator and tube must be extracted from the cylinder block for disposal after removing its O-ring seal. Apply clean engine oil to the new O-ring seal before placing it into the oil level indicator tube installation. In order to finish this procedure replace the removed components with the new O-ring seal.
