How to Service and Repair the A/C Hose from Condenser to Evaporator on All on 2008 Mercury Mountaineer?

All vehicles require a condenser to evaporator line service and repair process which starts with air cleaner removal and its outlet tube removal followed by refrigerant recovery. The PCM along with its bracket needs removal before disconnecting the RH wheel speed sensor electrical connector and separating the wire harness from the condenser-to-evaporator line bracket. The 4.6L engine vehicles require removal of the suction accumulator-to-compressor line bracket nut but installation requires tightening it to 7 Nm (62 lb-in). Remove the access fitting on the evaporator core by disconnecting it and discard the O-ring seal. The installation of this component requires tightening the condenser-to-evaporator line bracket nut to 7 Nm (62 lb-in). Remove the condenser outlet fitting by loosening its tightening nut first then discard both the O-ring seal and tighten this fitting up to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) for reinstallation. The auxiliary evaporator inlet line fitting requires disconnection if it is equipped with an O-ring set which must be discarded. Remove the front section of the condenser-to-evaporator line before removing the dash panel A/C line bracket nut and detach the bracket which should be tightened to 6 Nm (53 lb-in) upon reinstalling. Obtain the evaporator inlet fitting without its O-ring seals before separating the rear section of the condenser-to-evaporator line. You should reverse the uninstallation steps while replacing the O-ring seals and applying clean PAG oil to the proper amount in the refrigerant system. Evacuation followed by leak testing as well as system charging completes the process.
