    A: The service of the Throttle Position (TP) Sensor for the 2.3L engine starts by disconnecting its electrical connector. The procedure of TP sensor screw removal should be performed with caution to prevent damage by first rotating the screws one to two full turns with a hand tool followed by using a suitable high-speed driver to finish the task. The service requires discarding of both bolts and the TP sensor. New TP sensor installation needs 3 Nm (27 lb-in) screw torquing with a high-speed driver ban to protect the TP sensor from harm. It is essential to replace the TP sensor along with new screws because sensor reuse and screw reuse is not allowable after the failure of the sensor or due to any other reason. The radial locator tab needs to match up with the radial locator hole position on the Throttle Body (TB) during installation of the new TP sensor.
