In order to service the EGR valve, one needs to remove the engine cover, disconnection of the tube fitting and the vacuum line, and the bolts, losing the gasket. Wipe down the sealing surfaces, replace a new gasket and screw the valve with tightening bolts in two steps. Reattach the fittings and replace the engine cover.
