Take off the EGR valve tube and next the exhaust manifold, dropping the old gasket. clean, replace a new gasket, reassemble, tightening fittings as given. Install the fender splash shield and engine cover.

In order to service the right exhaust manifold, put the vehicle on a hoist in neutral. Lay off the engine cover and 10 nuts attaching the manifold getting rid of the old gasket. Wipe off the manifold and fit the new one with a new gasket, so that the nuts in the indicated order are tightened.
