How to remove and replace the right-hand parking brake cable on Ford E-150?

The first procedure for right-hand parking brake cable replacement requires releasing the parking brake system tension. The right-hand parking brake cable free itself from the equalizer so you can detach it from the support spring. By compressing the tabs you can disconnect the right-hand parking brake cable conduit from its position on the frame bracket. The right-hand parking brake cable bracket bolt must be removed from the differential before bracket separation from the brake tube where a 18 Nm (159 lb-in) torque should be applied during reassembly. Remove first the parking brake cable wire form bracket bolt from the lower shock mount for installation while securing it to 15 Nm (133 lb-in). Follow the same process of compressing the tabs to detach the right-hand bracket parking brake cable conduit from its assembly. To finish the task disconnect the rear parking brake cable from the parking brake actuating lever then take out the cable. The backward procedure for the installation should be followed to finish.
