How to Service and Repair the Rear Brake Dust Shields on Ford E-150?

The service process for the rear brake disc shield on E-150, E-250 and E-350 models starts with removing the brake caliper anchor plate. Following brake disc indexing you need to uninstall it until you can remove the parking brake shoes. Under the first step remove the rear axle shaft then disconnect both parking brake cable and conduit from their mounting points. Then unscrew and remove the screws which secure the rear brake disc shield before fastening the new shield to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.) torque specification. The completion of installation requires execution of the removal steps in reverse order.
