How to service and repair the front crankshaft seal on Ford E-250?

In order to replace the front crankshaft seal, place the car in neutral on a hoist. Take out the fan and shroud then the accessory drive belt. Removal of the crankshaft pulley bolt, which is not reusable, use strap wrench. Lubricate, install the seal, and install with a set of special tools, with the bolts being torqued correctly. Install the fan and the belt again.

How to Service and Repair a Crankshaft Seal on Ford E-250?

To service the main bearing seal of the crankshaft, take off the flexplate and the engine rear cover plate. Remover crankshaft oil slinger and rear seal by Slide Hammer and dispose of. Lubricate the new seal and fit it in then the new oil slinger. Install flexplate and cover plate again.
