How to Service the A/C Accumulator for HVAC and Auxiliary Climate Control on Ford E-250 Econoline?

Servicing the accumulator HVAC and auxiliary climate control system requires the discharge and recovery of refrigerant as the first procedure. The first step requires battery removal along with battery tray extraction through screw unfastening. A wrench should be used to disconnect the evaporator discharge line on opposite sides of its fitting to protect the A/C connection point after which you should disconnect the auxiliary evaporator to compressor tube spring lock coupling. Disconnect and remove the A/C cycling switch connector then remove the suction accumulator/drier by unscrewing its screws after you remove the screw. The process also requires the removal of the A/C cycling switch. Installation of the new suction accumulator/drier requires proper service with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or equivalent WSH-M1C213-B-rated oil. The service includes applying the same oil to new O-ring seals before screwing in the A/C cycling switch and suction accumulator/drier. You must reconnect the A/C cycling switch connector and the evaporator discharge line while applying PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or an equivalent Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B. The A/C system needs evacuation and charge as the final step.
