    The main step to fix the evaporator core in the system's main climate control is to recover refrigerant first. The service starts with removing both the battery and tray by unscrewing their mounting screws. Clear the space for oil fill pipe and windshield washer reservoir cover by unfastening all screws and relocating them aside. You should disconnect the evaporator discharge line and compressor suction line while using wrenches on their fittings to avoid harm during the process. Standard A/C system owners should disconnect their suction accumulator/drier line spring lock while auxiliary A/C-heater system drivers should remove their screw. Use a wrench to disconnect the condenser to evaporator tube from both its sides. Van owners with 4.2L engine power need to untwist the condenser core refrigerant lines while all other vehicles require isolation of the compressor discharge line through screw removal. Proceed by first disconnecting the screws that attach the evaporator core housing support bracket before moving to the evaporator cover where six and five screws need to be removed. You should extract the A/C evaporator core while avoiding harm to its cooling fins. Before usage of the new A/C evaporator core it needs to be serviced with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or an equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B. The compressor suction line must be connected through the auxiliary evaporator to compressor tube spring lock coupling if relevant while lubricating all O-ring seals. You should finish the installation process by connecting the evaporator discharge line followed by the windshield reservoir cover installation and adding an oil fill pipe and battery tray and battery before doing system evacuations and charging.
