How to service the blower motor resistor on Ford Escape?

The service of the blower motor resistor begins with removal of the right-hand A-pillar lower trim panel. Remove the electrical connector from the blower resistor as the first step of service. Remove first the right-hand A-pillar lower trim panel followed by disconnecting the electrical connector of the blower resistor. Finally detach the two screws securing the blower motor resistor for extraction. Perform the installation of the new resistor by reverting the removal process.
