Ford Excursion Ambient Temperature Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the ambient temperature sensor for the HVAC system on Ford Excursion?
A: The first step for servicing the HVAC system ambient temperature sensor includes removing eight pin-type retainers that hold the upper radiator sight shield in place. The Air Deflector should be placed out of the way after you remove the two upper pin-type retainers. Start by detaching the pin-type retainer on the ambient temperature sensor and then disconnect its electrical connector to successfully remove the sensor. The installation steps should follow the opposite order of removal.
