How to Service and Repair the Blend Door Actuator on Ford Expedition?

A service professional can start working on the auxiliary temperature blend door actuator of the Expedition EL and Navigator L once they have fully opened the third row seats. Start by removing the right-hand D-pillar trim panel and after that take off the liftgate sill plate and the rear floor cargo space trim panel. First position the rear floor cargo space floor trim to the side then take out the bolt holding the right-hand rear quarter trim panel. Start by taking out the right-hand quarter trim panel utility tray followed by separating three rear and five upper right-hand quarter trim panel clips until you can set the quarter trim panel to the side. The actuator maintenance involves first disconnecting the electrical connector from the auxiliary temperature blend door and afterward removing the two screws which secure the actuator. To complete the operation simply take out the existing auxiliary temperature blend door actuator then reassemble by doing the removal procedure in reverse order.
