Ford Explorer Sport Trac Engine Mount Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service and repair the engine mount on Ford Explorer Sport Trac?
A: Service procedures for engine mount repair should start by removing the Fan Shroud first. Beginning with the left-hand (LH) engine insulator nuts you must then remove the right-hand (RH) engine insulator nuts. Post the vehicle to lift height and make sure to anchor the axle housing of 4x4 vehicles onto appropriate supports. Keep the front axle bolts loose without disconnecting them while moving the lift to expose the left motor mount nut. Proceed with nut removal from the LH and RH engine support insulators followed by suspending the engine before pulling out the insulators. The installation requires following the reverse steps of removal to finish the process.
