How to remove and replace the camshaft on Ford F-150?

Replacement of the camshaft requires the removal of the valve tappets and timing drive parts, followed with the removal of the camshaft. Apply the engine oil to the new camshaft and reconnect it with the spacer, thrust plate and bolts. Make sure that Woodruff keys are in place and reattach timing components/tappets.

How to remove and replace the RH camshaft on Ford F-150?

To change the RH camshaft, place the crankshaft damper, disconnect the RH valve cover and unconnect the CMP sensor. Take off camshaft roller followers and bearing caps and remove the camshaft. Install the new camshaft and lubricate it making sure no alignment is missed or tightened. Reprofit CMP sensor and valve cover.
