How to service and repair the timing chain on Ford F-150?

In order to service the timing chain, take off the timing cover and the camshaft synchronizer drive gear. Then match the crankshaft timing marks, and fit a retaining pin in the tensioner. Take out the sprock and chain, and put the tensioner and parts back, taking good care not to misalign them and and install the timing cover.
