In order to service the shock absorber and the spring assembly, take it out of the vehicle and then release tension with a spring compressor. Grasp the rod and take out the nut and put another nut on the rod press tight to 30 Nm. Refit the disassembly, keeping all the torque values in mind and new parts.

How to remove and replace the front shock absorber and spring assembly on Ford F-150?

In order to change the front shock absorber and spring assembly, do not expose it to heat and do not leave body parts in the way. Take off the wheel, the upper mount nuts and separate the outer tie-rod end. Install the new assembly loosely, and tighten the lower nut to 475 Nm and replace the wheel.
