How to service the Knock Sensor (KS) for the 6.8L engine on Ford F-350 Super Duty?

In order to service the Knock Sensor in the 6.8L engine, pull off the intake manifold and disconnect electrical connector. Next, unattach the bolts to hold both Knock Sensors. In case of the installation of new sensors tighten the bolts to 20 Nm (177 lb-in) and follow the reverse process in unscrewing the bolts to finish the task.

A knock sensor will need to be serviced: in this case, the intake manifold should be removed. Unplug electrical connector of the sensor, unscrew two bolts that hold it on place, and remove the sensor.
