How to service and repair the steering wheel on Ford F-350 Super Duty?

The first step to work on the steering wheel involves removing the driver air bag module before proceeding. First position the steering wheel at a straight line before removing and discarding the steering wheel bolt. The installation requires a fresh bolt which must be tightened to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft). When removing the steering wheel both the wires from the Clock Spring and the steering wheel should pass through it carefully. Wrap the steering wheel Clock Spring central rotor to avoid its rotation by applying tape to the exterior housing. To finish the installation replace the steering wheel following the reverse order of removal.
