How to Service and Repair the Vapor Canister on Ford Fusion?

To fix the evaporative emission control canister, make sure the vehicle is in neutral in a hoist and disconnect the battery ground cable. Do not use flames and electronics around fuel parts. Unscrew the vent solenoid and hoses, take off the canister, and screw in the new one and tighten the fasteners to 6 Nm. Perform leak test later.
