How to Service the PCV Valve on Ford Fusion?

Begin the PCV valve service by detaching the PCV tube quick connect from its coupling to the valve then placing the tube to the side. The next step includes disconnecting the electric connection from the PCV valve component. The replacement of an extracted PCV valve from the valve cover requires installation of a new valve to protect against locking mechanism damage. After rotating the valve counterclockwise you can take it off the valve cover where you will dispose of the old valve. The new PCV valve installation requires proper positioning of its electrical connector so its wiring harness connection remains correct or else it will require complete removal of the valve. To finish the installation operation the same removal procedures should be performed in reverse order.
