How to Properly Maintain and Replace the Knock Sensor on a Ford Ranger?

Vehicle service of the knock sensor requires positioning on a hoist using NEUTRAL gear position. The user must disconnect the KS electrical connector followed by removing the bolt that secures the KS. Follow the reverse order of removal to install the new KS by tightening the bolt to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
