How to service and repair the cabin air filter on Lincoln LS?

Service and repair of the cabin air filter starts with the removal of the cowl vent screen and then successive removal of the cabin air filter itself. The engine compartment brace requires removal through the 7 bolts before removing it. The service demands the removal of the fresh air inlet duct after unfastening its 4 securing nuts. Start by removing the pin-type retainer on the fresh air inlet duct insulator before removing the 3 nuts which hold the insulator into position then take out the insulator. The installation process will reverse all steps from the removal process.
