How to service and repair the heater core and evaporator core housing on Lincoln LS?

To service the heater and evaporator core recover the refrigerant and drain cooling system. Take out the instrument panel, dismantle it. Perform leak test (where necessary), install new O-ring seals and clean PAG oil, replace the receiver drier only when it is contaminated. Undo the process of removal to reinstall.
