How is the Mass Air Flow Sensor Serviced on Lincoln Navigator?

Service of the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor begins with removing the air cleaner lid followed by disconnecting the extension harness connector from the wiring harness. You should untighten the air cleaner clamp before separating the air cleaner inlet from its outlet while maintaining the MAF sensor sensing elements intact to prevent unit failure. The MAF sensor body functions with its module as one complete serviceable unit. You should cut the tape on the wire loom of the extension harness after which you can peel the wrapper near the air cleaner's grommet. Free the outlet grommet from the air cleaner then use it to slide down the extension harness length.
