Loosening the TP sensor screws by one or two full turns with hand tools precedes the use of appropriate high-speed drivers for removal because inappropriate removal methods could damage the screws. The installation requires the disposal of both screws and the Throttle Position sensor. Before installing the new TP sensor position its radial locator tab correctly against the radial locator hole in the throttle body. The TP sensor and plastic parts should be monitored with digital temperature laser or infrared thermometer devices. Begin by swiftly removing the bolt distant from the heat source followed by the other bolt before discarding the both bolts. Discard both TP sensors by extracting them from the ETB. The radial locator tab of the new TP sensor should face the radial locator hole present on the ETB for proper installation. Hand tools must be used to fasten and tighten the two new bolts at 3 Nm (27 lb-in). Finish the installation by both reinstalling the ACL outlet pipe and connecting the electrical connector of the TP sensor.
