To service the lower control arm, take off the spring and mark that the suspension fasteners are very important to performance. In case of replacement then use a new part of the same number. Tighten fasteners to 101 Nm, and the suspension to 395 mm and then repeat the reversal of the procedure to remove.

How to service and repair the upper control arm on Lincoln Zephyr?

In order to service the upper control arm, be sure the vehicle is in neutral on a hoist. Re-hill the shock absorber lower bolt and upper arm bolts and screw them to the required torque. Tighten after positioning the suspension to the bushing fastener position. Unscrew the removal procedure to install and test rear camber.
