Service and repair of throttle cables starts with front engine appearance cover removal together with the throttle control spring. Detach first the accelerator cable from the throttle body lever and unscrew the retaining screw from the bracket to pull the cable free from the accelerator cable bracket alignment. The accelerator cable requires removal from its clip before removing the nuts which also detach the LH cowl extension bracket. Begin the procedure by disconnecting the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal and shaft but pay attention to the non-memory pedal prototype since the memory pedal matches this design. First remove the accelerator cable retainer then proceed by taking out the cable along with its grommet through the bulkhead. Finally extract the cable through the dash panel before taking it out of the vehicle. You should perform installation by conducting the steps in reverse order.
