How to service and repair the throttle cable and linkage on Mercury Grand Marquis?

Removing the throttle return spring and throttle cover (in front engine) is necessary to service throttle cable. Unplug the throttle body and bracket accelerator cable and the pedal. Take off the cable retainer and push the cable through the dash. To install, undo the steps to remove.
