How to service the MAP Sensor on Mercury Mariner?

The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor service requires placing the vehicle on a hoist in neutral position. The first step involves disconnecting the MAP sensor electrical connector before unscrewing the MAP sensor with the help of KD Tool #58181 or a Lisle T25 Torx Bit. The new sensor should get tightened to 3 Nm following installation. Engine oil should be used to lubricate the MAP sensor O-ring seal before applying the reverse steps for installation.
