How to Service and Repair the Front Rack and Pinion Steering Gear on Mercury Mariner?

To service the rack and pinion either take the front wheels off, carefully disconnect the intermediate shaft and change the coupling bolt. Relax rack and pinion bolts, substitute tie-rod end nuts and apply Ball Joint Separator. In the case of AWD and FWD, remove and install in a certain way, and check in front end alignment.
