How to Service the Crankshaft Position Sensor on Mercury Milan?

Service of the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor requires a vehicle placement on a hoist with NEUTRAL gear selection. First disconnect the CKP sensor electrical connector followed by the removal of its securing bolt which allows you to pull out the sensor unit. The sensor installation requires a 10 Nm (89 lb-in) torque specification for the bolt which should be followed by engine oil application on the O-ring seal before reassembling the components.
