How to remove and install the oil pan and Oil Pump in 3.3L inline six cylinder engine on Mercury Capri?

The following steps describe the process of the oil pan removal/instalation with the engine in the car. Which usually starts with removal of the engine oil followed by the removal of the negative cable of the battery, and the removal of the oil dipstick. Empty the engine coolant and un-bolt the radiator. Lift the car on appropriate jackstands, unbolt the starter and then take out the starter from the bellhousing. As for the warranty compliance test, block the suspension and at the same time, disconnect the sway bar from the chassis and leave it to hang down before finally removing the K-brace. Lose the nut which holds the flex coupling to the steering gear, then loosen the steering gear from the chassis and set it aslant forward and below. No longer the nuts that retain the front insulator to the support bracket and also reduce the torque of the two rear engine support bolts. Lift the front of the engine with the jack and put a thick wooden plank between the jack and the oil pan in the physical compartment of the engine, in the same way, put 1-1/4 inch wooden blocks between the front support insulators and the supporting brackets. Put the jack under the transmission to obtain the height of the new oil pan, put the engine down on spacers and take away the jack. Lift the pan down to the crossmember and drop the bolts and nuts off the car. Twist off the two oil pump inlet tube-to-oil pump retaining bolts, then take off the oil pump inlet assembly and setting it into the oil pan before actually deciding to remove the oil pan from the car and rotate the crankshaft if need be to create enough room. Insert the oil pan to the engine block, put the bolts and ensure that you tighten them to the right torque while starting from the center part and then moving to the exterior. Jack up the engine with a block of wood placed underneath the oil pan, remove the wooden spacers which where placed underneath the support brackets, lower the engine back down to the proper level and install the front and rear engine mount bolts/nuts. Perform the following to complete the installation: start the engine and check for oil leakage at the broaden surfaces of the oil pan gasket.
