How to Service the Coolant Temperature Sensor for the Cobra on Ford Mustang?

To service the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor of Cobra, partly drain the cooling system. Next, loosen the electrical connector of ECT sensor and take off the sensor. To install again, do the opposite and use sealant on the sensor threads and then lock it in place.

How to service and repair the Coolant Temperature Sensor for the 2.5L engine on Ford Ranger?

In order to replace the water temperature indicator sender unit of the 2.5L engine, make sure that the engine is cooled down and then detach the radiator cap. De-pressurise, detach the electrical connector and excavate the old unit. Put the new unit with the threads covered in Teflon pipe sealant and fit it by reversing the steps used in removal.
